Laa-Laa, the happy-go-lucky tubby, bounces her ball, tugs on her yellow fur and says, 'Nice.' Po, the small tubby in red, likes to say 'quickly, quickly, quickly' and ride around on her scooter, which she mistakenly calls 'cooter,' because it would simply be too much to ask a 1-year-old to get the words right. Dipsy, the green, second-largest tubby, dances by himself to a reggae beat.

They see Tinky Winky, the large, purple tubby, prance around with his handbag and fall on his back. Two million TV households in Britain - a record for the BBC - tune in every day. There is little doubt that the four Teletubbies - Tinky Winky, Laa-Laa, Dipsy and Po - bring smiles to the faces of the toddler set.
